The nightly rate is based upon a one month stay including electric costs which are paid separately. This is a great RV Park in a Great Small City of approximately 20k. There are more quality restaurants in Kerrville than any other town of this size we have visited. The quality of the staff hired is outstanding. They are accommodating and friendly. When we leave here, this is the type of park we want to go to. We fulltime, and we will return here again and again.
We stayed here about 6 years ago, and recently returned for about 3 weeks. The owners and camp hosts are just outstanding folks, friendly, helpful and courteous. Our son returned from overseas and he and his wife visited with us at the RV park on 3 occasions during the three weeks we were there, the owners refused to take the additional person(s) fee. It just was a nice touch to a nice stay at their park. They delivered a newspaper to our site almost daily when extra copies were received from the carrier. Lazy Acres is camping in the true sense of the word. You can have campfires. It is not a manicured resort, but it is clean, maintained and you feel part of the park. Sites are wide enough for slides, and you feel like you have room to roam. There is a pond for catch and release. It does get dusty due to sandy roads, but it does not detract from a down home feeling. We will stay there again when returning to the area. Bob, Debbie and Eddie are great folks, with positive attitudes, interested in accommodating their customers.
This is a great park to stop and smell the roses (cactus). The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and you never feel watched and are available 24 hours a day. The owners deliver mail directly to your site. We came to stay for a week to rest up from traveling, and decided to have our week converted to a monthly stay. while here we were able to make online purchases for delivery and our mail sent. While here, we made side trips to Hondo, San Antonio, Kerrville, Medina and Boerne. The sites are large enough not to have to unhook the tow dolly and still plenty of room to park the car. There are enough things to see and do in the area that you can stay as busy as you want or not at all. This park is also a horse motel and while here there were horses boarded and they enjoyed a daily carrot and we enjoyed them. A real diamond in the rough, located in historic Texas. We will definitely stay here again when in the area in the future. A side trip to Mamacita's restaurant in Kerrville is a must.
This is a bare bones RV park right in the middle of town. It is a nice and clean park for exploring the area for a couple of days. The folks managing the park are nice and friendly as well as others in the park at the time. We would stop here again for a day or two if in the area.
A very nice park with friendly staff. Paved roads into and throughout the park. Nice level grass sites with concrete pads. Clean, well maintained, and accommodating staff. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. Go Gators!
Easy access, long private paved road to campground. However, if two Motorhomes met coming and going and both were towing toads, one of them would have to unhook to back up and pull off the road so the other could get by. They have 5 new pull-through sites with 50 amp service which could accomodate Big Rigs. However, a couple of the sites would be difficult to level a rig. Clean well kept park, Next visit to the D.C. area, will look for a closer park to for sightseeing. The value for the $ just is not there. The original posting on this park describes it. This park served its purpose while we visited with family who lived on the west side of D.C.
This was a great park to visit, especially if kids are included. They had a lot of events for kids and equipment for checkout for all types of sports. The park is clean, and taken care of. the folks are friendly, and helpful. They surprised me. We got back to the park late one evening and our son decided to stay over instead of driving home. He got up early the next morning and drove back to the city. I went to let the office know he stayed over and to pay for his night with us. I was told, most folks wouldn't have bothered, and not to worry about it as he arrived late and left early. The overnight charge for an adult guest is $15. For that alone they should get a 10, and would if there was 50 amp. 30 amps were sufficient, A/C was not needed. The only issue we had and it is not the campground, but turning on Nightingale watch out for the low hanging tree branch. It is not low enough to damage any roof equipment, but it did hit our Radio and CB Antenna. This was an easy drive to NYC and Bayonne, about an hour and ten minutes. We will definitely stay here in the future when visiting family.
This is a very nice rural park within 13 miles of adequate shopping and 25 miles to Cooperstown.. The interior roads are gravel and well maintained. The sites are grass and mostly level. The park was kept immaculate and the owners were visible throughout our stay but we did not feel watched. I was able to use my cingular service for both telephone and online access with the laptop. We will stay here again.
We are halfway through our monthly stay and have enjoyed the park and facilities with grandchildren and their parents during this time. The pool is clean and well kept, as is the entire park. The sites are adequate. Staff are friendly and the park is well patrolled, but you do not feel as though you are being watched. This is a great park for relaxing. It is close to some good restaurants, shopping and a large outlet mall. The park is close to I-95, but the noise from traffic was not distracting. We will stay here again in the future.
This is an excellent park with a lot of friendly folks. This was the first escapees park we visited. We planned to say a week and will end up staying for 3 weeks. The electric issue seems to still be an issue on "some" sites. Mostly the pull-through sites. We were in a back-in site with 50 amps and never had a power issue. It appears the back-in sites are on a separate power line and meter, which may explain why we did not experience any problems. Other folks we talked to indicated that the pull-through site they were in they had to put some appliances on propane, due to experiencing low voltage. We definitely will return to this park in the future, but will use the back-in sites.
We stayed here for a week, and enjoyed the park. There was a fishing tournament group at the park during the same period, and they kept unplugging the Wi-FI repeater to charge trolling batteries. However, worked with management to find why the repeater was not working, moved their extension plug to the otherside of the pavillion, problem solved. The pool was clean, but needs some refurbishing, painted, concrete repaired. Most of the staff are friendly, and we are planning another week's stay in July.
We stayed here for a week in the newer open section which was level and roomy. The pool was clean. Most of the staff were friendly. We liked the location away from the tourist congestion. The Wi-FI is spendy, but it is an additional take it or leave it option. I need it, and it worked well during the entire week we were there.
Pulled into the park, went to the office to inquire about a pull through site. We were told they didn't know if any were available, we would have to go back and see. They also stated they didn't know if they had any sites with full hookups. We are easy going, and not hard to please. We will never need to stop and check this park out again. We tried to camp here in a Motorhome. First impressions of this park was very poor, and have crossed it out of our directory.
